Great gloves. Had I been wearing them while using my gouge, I wouldn't have taken a huge gouge out of my thumb the other day... Healing now, and wearing these all the time! I'm so amazed at how these work. Just for fun (well, I'm not condoning this as something to do for fun), I poked myself with a good amount of pressure with my extremely sharp and narrow (4mm and 5mm) chisels, and it felt like hitting the back of my hand with a blunt metal rod. The worst that would happen if I were to slip would be to cause a slight bruise from the impact.

The only downside to using these gloves is that I use them with wood and wooden handled knives, gouges, etc. They have a material similar to microfiber in how it adheres to every little raised bit of wood and will rip fluffs of the fabric out as you handle wood with them. I can see that this will be a bit of an issue long-term. That being said, I don't give these 5 stars in terms of their lasting ability. They will probably need replacing when they get very ratty looking after a bunch of uses.

Received them right on time. My family and I use these all the time. Why I never got these before escapes me If you work in a kitchen with sharp knives ( your knives should always be sharp) you MUST GET THESE! If you value your hands and your skin, YOU MUST GET THESE! If you like to work a little faster than normal in cutting items for your next mea, YOU MUST USE THESE!

Would I recommend this to the public? Absolutely!

Am I a paid shill for the company? Absolutely, NOT.

I was worried the gloves would be too thick and restrictive, but they're comfortable and easy to wear. I like that there are four sizes because my hands are small and many gloves are just too large for me. I feel more secure in cutting veggies and using my new highpower food processor with the very sharp blades! They're comfortable even when wet, so you can wear them while washing those sharp blades. Planning to get a pair for my husband, so he can help more in the kitchen!

These gloves work great! Although I can't find them now. If I can't find them soon, I'll have to buy another pair. The gloves are a little big for my hands, but not enough to bother me. I have small to average size hands for a woman. I bought them to wear while whittling on sticks while we are camping, but would like to find a smaller size to use in the kitchen as well. If they had children's sizes, I would buy those too because my 8 year old wants to help chop veggies for dinner and I would feel better about it if he were wearing a kids size version of these gloves.

I received the gloves on time, and have used them several times. They are comfortable, and the fit was perfect, while using them you don't feel like the gloves are a hindrance. I sliced carrots on the mandolin, the gloves did turn orange due to the beta-carotene, but that's to be expected, and I was able to hand wash them. Haven't had any mishaps, so this review is more on their customer service. After I purchased them I received an email from then reaching out to make sure everything was okay, and if I had any problems to contact them and they would do their best to rectify the situation. Not too many vendors will do that, so for that I gave them 5 stars, plus the gloves are very comfortable and puts another layer of protection between me and the mandolin's sharp blades. As I said, I haven't had any mishaps to "test" them, but if you have a mandolin I think you should order these gloves, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

They fit me and my spouse. I intentionally sliced the knife on my gloved hand, did not press too hard and it worked, No bleeding, Did not go through the material, and the only thing that happened was that some of the threads became curled up. I do warn- do not press hard, but really how many people slice any article with overwhelming strength?. take your time, be careful @ all times when using a knife AND wear the GLOVE prior to cutting, slicing etc.It works

I waited several weeks before reviewing these, so I could see how well they hold up, compared to other carving gloves I've had (for edge tools, of course - never for power). It's been about six weeks, and by now, with most gloves, I'd have a hole (or several) in my index finger and thumb. I am a pretty serious wood carver, and I wear the glove on my left (holding) hand, so I give cut resistant gloves a lot of abuse. These seemed too good to be true, at between 1/4 and 1/2 the price (per glove) of any other decent carving gloves I've tried. By this time, I wondered if I would see the usual holes and excessive fraying. I did not. The fact that these are ambidextrous makes them twice as valuable to me, too, since I only need the left.

They are so light and thin, with a completely snug, yet not constricting fit - I can even type with them. I worried they may not be as cut-resistant as they claimed - but they have proved to be as good or better than all the others at stopping very sharp edge tools. The knit is very tight, so I don't see skin like I do through others, so it even helps to minimize those unpreventable fine punctures, like with the point of a slipped skew. They will last longer than any other carving gloves I've tried to date, but another bonus from their lack of bulk is that I can wear a leather finger guard (and it's still less bulky than some), so they'll probably last several times as long as others have. Even the inevitable fraying is less than on others.

I'll attach a couple pictures - you can see a little fraying just starting - but not bad, compared to others that would have very severe fraying and holes by now. Oh - and my usual glove size is women's 7.5.

Update: The first pair wore out and we bought another. It's worth every penny!

My wonderful wife frequently uses a mandolin in the kitchen. Sometimes, I believe she thinks she's on Top Chef or chopped. When she gets into julienning, I'm just waiting with car keys in hand to take her to the ER.

So, as a proactive measure, I purchased these. They are quite comfortable. They stretch with excellent elasticity. She loves them and I feel more comfortable that she is wearing something that can protect her. She has used these gloves dozens of times. Not a single issue and she has washed them with the kitchen towels. No problem.

For those who wrote that the glove got cut and you were disappointed. What if you weren't wearing the glove? It's cut "resistant".

For about $10, it's a great safety tool for the kitchen.

In this video I put my NoCry Cut Resistant Gloves to the ultimate test against a sharp carpet knife. It's the first time I test them so I hope my fingers will be still attached after the video ends.

My hands are on the small size for a guy . These gloves were even too small for me. I wish they would post palm measurement size on the product info so I could have steered clear. Too bad the large size isn't available.

Note: My palm circumference is just over 7.5" inches (19 cm)

UPDATE:
NoCry contacted me, offered a refund, and informed me when the large size would be available. They even let me keep the gloves! I ordered the large size and they fit my hands fine. Added two stars for excellent customer support and better fitting gloves.
