Quality is superb - they had pockets (didn't expect them to). My son loves these. He typically wears a 34 shorts, I ordered a 36 and they just fit.

Extremely high quality rugby shorts that perform wonderfully. As a woman with plenty of junk in the trunk I had to get a much larger size than I expected in order to be able to get them on, rather than buying by my waist measurement. However, these are fantastic shorts and I especially love that they have pockets.

Well constructed rugby shorts, but they were a little tight on me in both the butt and thigh. But that's mostly because I have big thighs and so the fabric pulled there, but they'll work great for any normal person!

This is the first pair of rugby shorts I have bought so I didn't know exactly what size to get but they fit very well for rugby shorts. I got a size smaller than my waist and that was perfect. The canterbury quality is always good and I would definitely buy from them again.

I got these for Women's rugby, and they fit comfortably while being longer than most rugby shorts. These were my first rugby shorts, and I was impressed by them. One of my teammates had an older version of the same pair and they were smaller, so that could be something to consider. They are snug where they need to be for a scrum, but loose enough you can get where you need to be. There is a tie in the waist that I suggest using. They also have pockets, which I liked.

The pockets are deep enough you won't lose anything. I put my mouth guard in them and thought it was lost, then played a 7s tournament with it in my pocket, noticing in the second match.

They have held up well to washing, but I always hang to dry. I think they can hold up to drying, but I don't know if they would shrink or stiffen.

Exactly what the team provided.
Perfect back up pair. Held up through a season of games and practices and look brand new.
My son said they were comfy, despite being shorter than regular shorts or basketball/soccer shorts.

These shorts seem nice at first, but after running around in them for a few minutes I can begin to see some downfalls. They are extremely durable, but have ZERO flexibility. While wearing these I feel so restricted in my movements it's unbearable. I like wearing my rugby shorts for more than just playing rugby, i.e. biking, trail running, etc... Unfortunately, I find that these shorts really hold me back. They look and fit nice while I am just standing around, but the moment I start getting creative in my movements it is as if they put a limit on how far I can lift my legs. I have a hard time finding shorts that offer durability as well as flexibility and these shorts are a good example of that.

I am not a rugby player but for the gym or volleyball, I tend to like my shorts 7 inches or lower. Never thought I'd go as low as 5.5 inches (as these are) but they are great. I will say that for someone with thinner legs, these may not look all that flattering but do you actually care what people think? But for the folks with medium to muscular legs, these are definitely very flattering.

Again, not too short and not too long. I'm about 5'10 so the shorts are around mid way.

I have a 32" waist and I went with the 34" shorts. This is perfect. I also tried on the 36" and while they fit, the leg open is just way too wide and loose.

Also, for some that may not know, depending on what you wear underneath these shorts, if you squat or sit, you may bare some parts of you that you shouldn't. So I recommend wearing a pair of boxer briefs.

Man these shorts are heavy duty yet comfy they don't ride up your crotch when you are running and its been two full seasons in these and the color still holds. No rips or tears and all the grim and grass washes right off. They look good and I think I will stick to canterburry when these eventually give out which from the looks of things wont be anytime soon. I wear a 36 or 38 in pants and bought a large pair. They fit real nice and I would go with the conversion chart unless you have a pair and you are replicating your true fit. I get lifted on line outs and these are a perfect must buy for any rugby player. .

I used to get Canterbury Rugby shorts 100% Cotton. These are some plastic mix. They will probably be ok.

UPDATE: After wearing, I don't care for the polyester. Too late to send 'em back. I'll look elsewhere to see if I can find cotton shorts. Sad. As others have said, they are tight around the thighs, which was not a problem previously. I also don't care for the elastic in the waist band. I don't like messing with the rope so these sometimes try to fall off.
