This is a really great suit. The material is nice, and it stretches like it should. I believe this suit fits as expected- not too big, not too small. I am 5'5" 140 lbs, 34 DD, size 4 pants, I ordered the 36 and it fits perfectly. It's tight through the back and not the most flattering, but that is because I am out of shape (which I'm hoping to fix by starting to swim again). The stripes make the suit really flattering though. This suit fits like a suit for competitive swimming is supposed to fit, not like a fashion suit. The legs come up high and it is tight throughout the back and chest. I was very happy with the amount of butt coverage this suit has though, i never feel like I'm sticking out and it doesn't really ride up either.

PAY ATTENTION to the reviews that say how to wear this suit. It comes WAY up your hips, much further than a non-racing suit does. When I first put this on, I thought it was much too tight. Then I read the reviews that explained how Speedo suits should fit, and made sure to adjust the leg holes so that it fit high. Once I did that, the rest of the suit fit perfectly. I used the sizing guide to choose my size based on my bust measurement and my pants size, and the suit I ordered with those measurements is exactly right.

Be careful of the size you choose. I had this bathing suit last year and it was worn out from wearing it every day. I purchased this one thinking that it was exactly the one I bought last year. Turns out that the sizing is a bit tricky. I ended up with a tiny little girl's bathing suit.

I have been wearing Speedo since my childhood swim teams, with occasional (and very brief) purchases of other brands, and I have yet to find a better suit. They resist chlorine transparency the longest, and all of my parts remain secured and covered. Great freedom of arms movement for all strokes.

This review is written by my 14 year old daughter:
I am very happy with this product. I am 5'0", and I have a 33" bust, a 28" waist, and, 35" hips. I ordered a 8/34. I was afraid that the bust area would be too big because the size chart said the 8/34 had a 36" bust, but I was pleasantly surprised by how well the swimsuit fit. There was no sagging anywhere, but it wasn't tight and skimpy, either. I would definitely recommend ordering a size or two up, though the open back allows the swimsuit to stretch quite a lot. The swimsuit is fully lined, but there is no additional padding in the bust area. The design is very flattering and creates the illusion of a narrower waist. I bought the navy/red color and it was exactly as it was in the picture. Overall, this seems like a sturdy swimsuit that would last quite a long time. I would definitely purchase this again.

i'm returning it - i am a grown woman that is 150lbs 5 ' 4 38" chest / this is too small on me for god's sake .. i got a 40 so i'm returning it. this must be a childrens suit or teen because if you are a grown women don't buy it ..

I have worn Speedo suits for 30 years. I swim for exercise, and have always worn a sport/competition style Speedo. I ordered size 38, the size I've been wearing for several years now; the size indicated by the Speedo size chart for this suit. It was too small, so I ordered a size 40 which does fit; though Size 40 is the size I wore when I was 30 pounds heavier. The moral: Speedo styles are not sized consistently. so hopefully this style will be around when I order my next suit.

People who say it runs small are probably not used to how swimsuits work. The suit fits perfectly and it is supposed to be a bit of a squeeze to get in and out of the suit. The fabric is amazing as well as the design. Wonderful swimsuit!

This suit is amazing! Speedo has always been my go-to brand and this suit didn't disappoint. I was a little wary that some reviews said it fit snuggly, so I went to a sports store to try on a similar Speedo to find my size. Turns out, your dress size is a good place to start. For me, my dress size was what I needed. This suit does fit snug, and most suits should, especially one built for racing or active swimmers and are designed to compress the body (for aerodynamics). That will change a bit when it's worn in the water because the fabric will stretch. After being in the pool for a few minutes, the suit should only be the slightest bit snug - that's how this one fits for me. :) Finally, I love the design for this suit. I usually go for the water ripple or full-color suits, but this one just struck my fancy. It really compliments the curves of my body.

So, be warned, it is tight - but as long as it's not painful, impossible or a struggle to get on, or cutting off circulation, it's supposed to do that. It will expand slightly when it's wet. If in doubt, try on a similar suit before you purchase this one.

I am 5.5', 125 lbs, 34B/28/38, wear a size 6 in clothing and usually wear a size 8 in swimsuits. After reading the reviews here that this suit has a tighter fit, decided to try size 10/36 and 12/38 at a local store and thought both were comfortable but the 12/38 was a bit loose around the stomach. So, decided to buy 10/36 and I'm happy with this size (I do laps for around 2 hrs at a local gym). It has a snug fit and I definitely look slim in it .... no sagging or bunching anywhere.

I think this a good suit for me, doesn't hold much water too. I feel I'm swimmimg much better in this suit compared to my older one. The older one sagged and I felt a drag when I swam in it. This suit doesn't have a padded bra ( I think someone had posted this question) but it has a double lining, so the coverage is adequate and it holds everything well. I also like that one can choose from different colors. I would buy again and try a different color next time.

UPDATE: After 3 months of usage, the suit has become quite loose, so I'm going to order another, one size down ie., 8/34. I have lost a little weight, so I don't know if the suit has become loose because of that or it's due to usage (I have used it almost daily at the pool). Also, the black color has faded and turned silver. I still love the suit, so I'm going to order another in a different color :)

UPDATE: Got size 8/34, weight now is 122 lbs. It was a little difficult to get it on at first but once I did, it fits perfectly and no discomfort while swimming.
