The mat provides a great surface to preserve my tile floors from damage due to chair casters. One minor issue is that I have not yet been able to stop the mat from moving as I move around in my office chair. I suspect the solution will be as simple as small strips of double-sided tape on each of the four corners.

I love this! I bought this to protect my new vinyl floor in my kitchen from my wheeled chair that I use to get around. I was worried about the wheels on the chair scratching the floor - although this flooring appears to be really tough. I am still glad I bought this mat - I got the largest size. You can view the flooring wood detail through the mat - in fact, you have to really look hard to even know it is there. I had no problem with it laying flat, either.

It's a big, thick piece of plastic. I think it will be durable. The reason for the three stars is that it is more difficult than it should be to get it to lay flat. When it came out of the box, it was not rolled smoothly, but rather smashed into a sharp oval, very stiff and it's been a couple of days placing heavy objects all over it to get it to smooth out.

Pretty decent floor mat. Decent price and works as intended. It hasn't fully flattened out yet and it's been a month or two. I had it outside, flattened underneath some flat plywood hoping to get a nice flat surface. Tried a couple things to flatten it but maybe in a few more months it'll settle? It's not crazy, but still a little wavy here and there.

It does it's job, and it came well packaged and with clear instructions on how to un-warp it.

However, I failed to notice prior to buying it that there was no carpet tap or any sort of rubber to keep the may gripped in place. I find that the mat moves about a bit as I roll around on top of it, and need me to readjust it so its centre in my work area. It's an easy fix, as I just got some carpet tape and stuck it on the edges to keep it in place.

It's saving the wood flooring in my office which appears to be original wood from circa 1920s house. I still have not gotten the creases fully out so I dinged it a single star. The directions state its best to get the product warm and flatten it, unfortunately its winter here so thats not really an option. I even tried blow drying it which was too time consuming. In the summer I will take it outside in the driveway and try and remove the remaining creases.

5 stars if they had packaged it unfolded.

I bought this to replace a smaller floor mat in my office. This one is plenty big enough to do the job. It took a couple days to flatten completely, but after having some warmth fur a day or 2, it really laid down nicely. A perfect option for a home office where you want to protect the floors from roller damage. Mine is on vinyl, which can stretch with repeated roller motion, so this should keep my floors in great shape for years to come.

We put this on the floor by our doggie door to keep them from tracking in on our carpet. It fits that corner nicely, lays flat and does a great job. I haven't had a problem with curling up at all. The first day we put heavy books on the edges and haven't had a single problem with it. It is very rigid and sturdy and going in and out the door, the dogs do slide it a bit from the wall, and I just push it back. So not having the little pointy things on the bottom does allow it to slide a bit, but for the price I don't care. Have had it for several months now.

This arrived in great condition, VERY Easy to get out of the box and within 24 hours was laying flat. NOTE that the rough part is suppose to go on the ground. It did take me some time to research this and find this out. The smooth part should face up. This keeps it from sliding all around and protects your floors better. It really looks nice, I love that I can see through it and as a larger guy normally these don't hold up under my weight but so far it's really doing well. It's also a great size, I wouldn't suggest going smaller unless you just know you don't have the room. You also just can't beat the price for the quality and size. I've gone through my fair share of these both here on Amazon and office stores and this has been my best one so far.

I hope this helps as you try to decide what's best for you! Thanks

Reading other reviews/questions I see 3 major concerns and I’ll offer my two cents on those topics.

Unrolling - Yes, this mat comes tightly rolled, that is how they ship it to you for a low cost (free for prime). Other places (Uline) offer flat-shipping mats, but with shipping that comes to over $100 for one mat. I purchased this for $51 and I see it is now $43. For that price I have no complaint with the fact that it took 3 days to totally flatten out. It was winter and my apartment was about 65 degrees and in 3 days the mat was totally flat and I have had no issue.

Slipping - I have mine on a slick hardwood floor. If I take a running start and jump on the mat I can get it to move about half of an inch, in normal use it hasn’t moved at all. I do have 2 legs of a desk on it, which probably helps. In the end of the day I can’t take off points for this because I don’t think any equivalent product would perform better here. The carpet mats with spikes would move less, but don’t work on hardwood floors.

Thickness and Durability - I used a digital caliper to measure the mat, it is 1.62mm thick (image attached). Thicker would create more of an uneven surface, and thinner might be less durable, I think this is a solid middle ground. I’ve had mine for over a month and I see no marks from my chair. My chair has 2 sticky wheels, so I was worried that the dragging (rather than rolling) would cause problems, but this mat has held up well.

Size - This isn’t as discussed by other reviewers, but I still want to mention it. I have the 46x60 inch version and I think that going smaller would be a mistake. You want enough space to be able to tuck you chair into your desk and pull it back to stand up, smaller mats seem like you would be rolling off of them. I also like the version without the lip because I think having 2 desk legs on the mat keeps it from sliding.

So yes, for twice the price you might be able to get something marginally better, but this is 5 out of 5 stars from me and I am pleased with the quality and price.
