I’ve been a little MIA on the social media end of things lately because…
our Mum mum came down to visit us over the long weekend!
One of my favorite things about family coming to visit, is seeing our home with fresh eyes.
From furniture rearrangement to the nearby Franklin Mountains – her perspective is always refreshing.
We celebrated Maggie’s 3rd Birthday with Angel food Cake, strawberries, and lots of Cool Whip.
And don’t forget the purple sprinkles… it HAD to be a purple cake!
And as I look back through my pictures, I am surprised to realize something…
one of the best parts of having Mom come to visit – are discovering fun pictures of myself!
Here we are cutting apart a coconut – the kids were really curious!
And here is my husband and I working in the yard.
Yeah. I’m a bit of a redneck.
But that’s a story for another day!
We had a wonderful time and are already looking forward to her next visit!

My holiday weekend was filled with sick kids. But I managed to paint my kitchen cabinets, something I’ve wanted to do for the last 6 years. My hubby and I also tiled around our fireplace and he build bookshelves for our living room. So we may have stayed indoors with the kids, but we got a lot done. Looks like you had a great time with your Mom. Glad she was able to visit!
