I have great news! Operation “Honeymoon Suite” is complete!
These two pieces were our living room entertainment center before we moved to Germany.
I would like to fill the left one up with quilts. Seth would like to buy a second television.
I would happily agree if we found a live in nanny so I could watch TV and eat Nutella from our bed all day.
(I’ll let you know how that goes.)
This bedroom set was passed down to me from my great grandmother right before we were married. (It still had the original iron bed spring!) All of these pieces have been in storage the entire time we were in Germany, so it feels really good to finally be able to sleep in OUR bed again!
One of the things we sold in our yard sale before leaving Germany, was our metal file cabinet.
Mostly because I fell in love with an idea for a file cabinet inside a bench via Pinterest.
So I went to Kmart and found two of these.
I decided to use the top tray for the pile of “to sort, shred, or file” papers,
And I set up the metal frames underneath!
Now I just need to invent a machine to fold all of this laundry and all will be well in the universe…
Feel free to pin this idea if you like it!
Where do you keep your household files organized?
Do you have a bench at the foot of your bed?

We have an antique box at home too! It’s from my grandpa. That box is already over 65 years, he used it during the World War.And now, we are still using it as cabinet for linens.

I love your idea; my file cabinet is old, dented, and rusting. I will try this makeover of yours.
