Operation PCS Packing: In motion!

May 8, 2012

Military Life, Moving

Hmm what should go in our suitcases?

What should we mail to Mum mum and Pop pop?
What will we need for the next two weeks in Germany?
What Army schtuff will hubby need for the next two weeks?

Suggestions and ideas are always appreciated!

I’m sure once I get everything figured out I’ll blog my updated lists in an “After Action Report”!

On another note – Did you know the friday before Mother’s Day is Military Spouse Appreciation Day?

This friday my dear friend Roller Coaster and I will be co-hosting a Military Spouse Appreciation Bloghop!
In honor of this special day, we ask that you write a blog post about what this special day means to you.
(Don’t worry – Roller Coaster and I will be posting our ‘party post’ on thursday to give ya’ll an idea!)
And if you are interested in sponsoring a giveaway for the participants of the Blog Hop,
please contact Roller Coaster ASAP at ontherollercoaster@gmail.com!

We do appreciate you and I did not realize that we as spouses were recognized and appreciated. Is that a National thing? I am excited for you and for your move! Our’s too is coming up soon. Enjoy Texas and don’t let the heat get to you to badly this summer!

Make sure to plan for the weather where you are going to moving to. We didn’t do that and arrived in New Orleans with 80 degree heat from Japan’s 50 degree coolness. I was so thankful for Walmart and Target! Also, pack for your hubby. I failed to do this and mine thought one pair of pants would be enough for two months. Where do they come up with this thinking? :)

Mail towels, sheets, pillows and air mattress if you will be in an empty house for a while.

    Good Luck :) !

This is totally unrelated to packing, but I love the quilts in the picture. They are so nice and look very pretty in the hallway. How did you hang them up?
