Two weeks from today it will be the friday before Mother’s day,
which is also the official Military Spouse Appreciation Day.
On this special day, my dear friend ‘Ms Roller Coaster’ of Riding the Roller Coaster and I,
want to do something to HONOR these amazing men and women!
On a side note, also happening on May 11th this year, many of the Military Bloggers in our community will be arriving in Washington DC to attend the MilBlog Conference. And after attending last year, let me tell you I was pretty bummed when I learned our move would probably happen during the same month. Which means due to the expense of plane tickets to fly “over the pond”…
I will not be attending this year…
And I got to thinking…
There are probably lots of FANtabulous Bloggers who won’t be attending either!
SOOO — Ms Roller Coaster and I cooked up a plan to cohost our OWN “Meet n Greet”
in the form of a Military Spouse Appreciation Blog Hop!
On Friday May 11h, at 12pm (Noon) Eastern Standard Time, (that’s 6pm here in Germany folks!), I will be posting a Linky for you to linkup your Military Spouse Appreciation post! From that point on and through the weekend, we can “Meet n Greet” our way through the list, share our appreciation for the families of our service members, and discover some wonderful new bloggers!
All you need to do is start working on your Bloghop post! This Blog Hop is to celebrate the Military Spouses around the world who support their Service Member. Never met a Military Spouse? Well this YOUR opportunity to share an inspiring story or simply show your appreciation! Just remember to be respectful of your visitor’s time – you want to be sure to introduce yourself and your blog as well, but keep things brief, and leave them wanting to come back for another visit!
Sound good? OK! Let’s spread the word! Blog it! Tweet it! Share it on Facebook! Write a pre-party post inviting your readers to join us! The more we share, the more fun we’ll have together! I do ask that you grab a button for your sidebar and check back as some lovely giveaways are announced! (In order to be eligible for a giveaway you will be required to have the button posted!) Follow the #Milspouse hashtag for our conversation on twitter now and especially through the weekend of the blog hop!
