“Good Evening Ma’am – May I see your ID, License, and Registration?
“Suuuurrre…… Here’s my ID card… and here’s my License… and just a sec….”
I lean over to look in the glove box…
The familiar green folder is not there…
Oh. crap.
Please sir…
I haven’t showered in three days…
I have slept less than 10 hours in those 3 days…
I have 3 small children – 2 are sick…
My dear friend is currently risking personal illness by watching them
so I can go cash WIC checks for Milk and Diapers…
Last Saturday my hubby left for a few weeks training in Missouri.
He bought gas so I’d have a full tank.
I don’t know where he put the registration.
I haven’t driven my van since.
Please remember me from last week when I joked with you about all this snow…
Please do not search my vehicle – I have a two hour window between baby nursings…
Please let me on post… Please let me buy milk…
I promise I will find it…
Bump.bump… Bump.bump… Bump.bump…
“It’s ok Ma’am… Have a nice evening… Ciao…”
“Thank you so much… You have no idea the day I’ve had….”
