When our “Cookie-dog” was a puppy, (back in those pre-children days!),
I would take her shopping to Pet Smart.
On one of these trips, I stopped in the book aisle (surprised aren’t you) to look at books about training border collies. When I turned around, my little 12 week old puppy was sitting there with a stuffed turtle in her mouth with a “Can I get it Mommy?” look on her face.
I kid you not.
It was just like the Pet Smart “Bo-Bo” commercial.
So she carried it to the register. Since that day, we have been through countless turtles.
Whenever my mom sends us a package, she’ll include little toys for the kids… including Cookie…
People say animals can’t talk… but I’m pretty sure Cookie can by the expressions on her face…
Happiness, Contentment, Gratitude… “I love my turtle”….
